Welcome to the Dobbins, California Seventh-day Adventist Church!
After a devasting fire destroyed our church building in the Spring of 2005, we are worshipping in a new building featuring a bell tower and bell that was cast in 1888. We think it's the perfect country church with a mission for the local Dobbins-Oregon House community for "Doing, Serving, Growing."
We hope you have an opportunity to visit us soon and help us serve and grow as a friendly, caring, and united church family. Our new pastor, Waren Muir, preaches his first sermon Sabbath, August 20, 2011. We have also retained a Bible worker for community outreach in partnership with the non-profit organization "The Oak is in the Acorn."
The Dobbins Seventh-day Adventist Church meets weekly on Saturdays, the same Sabbath Jesus taught and worshipped in the temple 2,000 years ago and that is also commemorated at creation and in the fourth commandment. In addition to our worship services we will be offering craft and game times, special classes, and other activities you won't want to miss. Currently we are holding song service and Sabbath School classes at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, and our main service is held at 11:00 a.m. We consistently provide a delicious fellowship meal following the church service.
Join us for a movie night on Fridays, 7:00 p.m., in January 2012. Films include "The Privileged Planet" and "Exploring the Wonders of Life: Metamorphosis." Visit www.yubafoothills.com for the film festival schedule here. Also, if you would like to join a public speaking class, call Jim Pappas at 530.692-1124, it begins Monday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m.
Join us soon in "Doing, Serving, and Growing!"
